If all the people in the world were to stand front to back and side by side, this vlog entry tells you how much space we would take up! Our population was taken as 6.5 Billion.
Also, as an experiment, I have posted two different size videos with different data rates (kbps). Please let me know in the comments if the higher data rate doesn’t work for you – and if you can even see any quality difference. That is major a benefit of Zen Mix in that I find it is more difficult to detect low quality video when superimposed on a high quality picture.

Obviously, our footprint – or the amount of land it takes to support us (food & wares, etc) is larger than our physical space. There are some good sites out there about this.

Great vlog post! It’s amazing to think about how little space we take up compared to how much we consume.

HERE ARE YOUR FOOTPRINT RESULTS:
CATEGORY GLOBAL HECTARES
FOOD 1.8
MOBILITY 1
SHELTER 1.3
GOODS/SERVICES 1.8
TOTAL FOOTPRINT 5.9
IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 8.8 GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.
WORLDWIDE, THERE EXISTS 1.8 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE GLOBAL HECTARES PER PERSON.
IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 3.3 PLANETS.

I assume that it would be possible to increase the 1.8 existing biologically productive global Hectares per person. Hydroponics, etc.

This was based on a personal thought discovery from around 1987 and put on the Web in 1995 at http://www.danzen.com/cgi-bin/danisms?day=23
